Volunteers of America offers services to support individuals living with mental illness throughout the Baton Rouge, Lafayette and Lake Charles areas.
Mental Health Support Services
Baton Rouge
The program assists individuals and families with severe and persistent mental illness and/or emotional disturbances. The program is designed to enhance the quality of life through the support of referral, advocacy and skills training. The program also promotes and maintains effective life functioning in the community.
Comprehensive Mental Health Services
Lafayette/Lake Charles
Intensive case management, supervised independent living, transportation and consumer care resource/home settlement assistance is provided.
Crisis Mental Health Services
Lafayette
Treatment is provided and a crisis stabilization unit is available for care.
Outreach Services
Lafayette
Outreach workers identifies homeless individuals who are mentally ill and advocates for them to receive the appropriate services.
Comprehensive Mental Health Services For Children
Lake Charles
These services assist families in staying together through collaborative parenting classes and support.
