Living Independently Individuals are able to live independently in the community with support.  Our residential homes provide 24-hour supervision by trained support staff. Living on their own helps the individual achieve independence through these life skills, and through health and safety education, and community integration.

Residential Life

A family-like atmosphere is what the staff creates for residents.  They celebrate important life events together such as birthdays and holidays, but also go through everyday tasks such as sharing meals and other recreational events together with the residential homes.  There are different types of services provided; one, whereas residents share one home together, and another, where they have their individual apartments on a Volunteers of America property.
